I have found the above means the best way to take
measurements for belts. The same also works for Dog
Collars. I have found going off of a persons pants size to be
very unreliable, the reason for this is the inconsistency's of
manufactures pants. For example a man that wears a 36in
Wrangler would most likely wear a 34 in a looser pant like
